I don't know much with regards to UK's medical route, but since you believe the UK's system is superior to the US's system, would you care to explain?
wontuan
Haha, I only say that because for an equivalent degree in Medicine, you only face one point of potential rejection. With the US system, you apply for your basic undergrad in some premed course (and hope and pray that you get in) that at the end of the day doesn’t let you practice Medicine so you still have to apply to a postgrad medical school (and hope and pray that you get in) to get one. In the UK, you apply straight to medical school after graduating from high school.
It’s great if you know 100% that you want to do Medicine, less so if you would rather explore and enjoy before you make the final commitment. And by commitment I mean sign your soul and sleep off to a vindictive curriculum and an impossible timetable.
